College Readiness Now Grant
Camden County College has been awarded funding through the New Jersey Council of Community Colleges (NJCCC) and the State of New Jersey Office of the Secretary of Higher Education (OSHE) to provide Camden County High School juniors and seniors the opportunity to become college ready in the areas reading, writing and mathematics prior to graduating from high school.
To determine eligibility for the program, students must take the Camden County College Accuplacer to determine which developmental courses they currently need. Camden County College’s Accuplacer test schedule can be found at pyh.961381.com/testing. Students that have taken the PARCC exam and received a 4 in ELA 11 or Algebra 2 or have taken the SATs and received a 450 evidenced based reading score and 500 on the math section are ineligible for the program as they have already been deemed college ready.
To increase students’ college readiness in the discipline of mathematics, Camden County College has partnered with 10 Camden County High Schools to provide Camden County College’s developmental math courses to high school seniors during the school day. Students enrolled in the course will also meet their 12th grade math requirement. Students successfully completing the two CCC math assessments during the school year have the ability to be deemed college level at Camden County College upon their high school graduation. Participating schools are listed below.
