April 2023
Lani Nguyen is the Director of International Student Services on the Blackwood Campus. Lani has worked at the College in Student Services since July 2009. Below is the write up from one of Lani’s colleagues, that made her the April C.A.R.E.S. Award nominee.
“Lani is a diamond in the rough…The students she works with have many different challenges yet Lani works with each and every student until the issues are resolved, as well as jumping in when needed to assist general advising students. She is an amazing co-worker and friend. CCC is lucky to have her here at the College”.

Megan Williams is an Adjunct in the Animal Science Department. Megan has worked at the College since September 2021. Below is the write up from one of Megan’s colleagues, that made her the May C.A.R.E.S. Award nominee.
“Megan is an outstanding role model for the veterinary nursing students. She is dedicated, kind professional and always striving to improve the content of her courses and the program as a whole. Megan has been instrumental in completing tasks required for our departments AVMA accreditation and has extended her services way beyond the scope of an adjunct. She is the first to volunteer whenever help is needed. Megan has also re-established the Veterinary Nursing Club. Most importantly, Megan has been a friend and confidant to me this semester, I could have not made it through without her”.

Patricia Wells is a Lab Aide in the Camden Campus E-Village. Patricia has worked at the College since September 2013, she started as a Workstudy Student before working in the E-Village. Below is the write up from one of Patricia’s colleagues, that made her the June C.A.R.E.S. Award nominee.
“Mrs. Wells has always been willing to help those wanting to make use of the Camden County College E-Village Computer Labs and not only provides help to those coming in with the computers, but also goes above and beyond to help where she can in whatever people ask for outside of computer questions. Even from before I started working at the computer labs, Mrs. Wells has been at the College and also continues to work year-round. She also makes sure to communicate in the case of something like being closed for a certain day or time, or requesting anything she needs”.

Rich Cummings is an Instructional Designer in the eLearning Department on the Blackwood Campus. Rich has worked at the College since 2014. Prior to working in the eLearning Department, Rich was an adjunct professor in Criminal Justice. Below is the write up from one of Rich’s colleagues, that made him the April C.A.R.E.S. Award nominee.
“Rich always gives a 110%. He never hesitates to answer the shared division line or emails to assist students and faculty. Rich will make himself available to our students and faculty on evenings and weekends. He loves to volunteer for events such as Open House so he can meet the students and get them acquainted with the eLearning and Academic Support Services Division. Often, we get students sent to eLearning in error. Rich will use his CCC knowledge to help resolve their issue. If he needs to refer them to another area Rich will walk the student to that office and make sure that they get the help they need. Overall, Rich always goes above and beyond for our division, but is always willing to help other areas in the College as well. Students know they can count on him to resolve their issues and will stop by the suite and ask for him specifically.”

Cheryl Mott is the Director of Budgets in the Finance & Planning Department on the Blackwood Campus. Cheryl has worked at the College since 2009. Prior to working in Finance & Planning, Cheryl worked in the School, Community and Workforce Training Programs Division. Below is the write up from one of Cheryl’s colleagues, that made her the May C.A.R.E.S. Award nominee.
“Cheryl is an employee who consistently provides outstanding customer service. She is always quick to help solve a problem and is knowledgeable in many of the College’s systems, policies and procedures. She is proactive when addressing an employee’s needs and is always attentive and resourceful. Cheryl is a consummate professional.”

Drucilla (Dru) Jones-Edwards is a B Secretary in the Math, Science and Health Careers Division on the Blackwood Campus. Dru has worked at the College since 2013. Below is the write up from one of Dru’s colleagues, that made her the June C.A.R.E.S. Award nominee.
“Dru volunteers as a member of the Foundation Board. She is active not only in the general Board meetings, but is on subcommittees like Strategic Planning and the events committee. She has donated her time as a volunteer at events, made numerous donations both material and financial, and solicits donations from others. She funds scholarships and organizes a community walk to support addiction program scholarships. Dru is a tremendous asset to the College in this voluntary service.”
